“When I found out I was in Hollyoaks dad took me to the Soap Awards with him so I could meet some of the cast.

“He brought me so I could be introduced to Emmett Scanlan so that was good.”

Jay got the job after an acting agent watched him lead the cast in a school play.

He said: “I auditioned for Peter Pan a couple of years ago and I was spotted.

“I didn’t go to acting school. I’d only done a few small school productions, but I watched my dad on TV.

“I’ve been on a lot of Boyzone tours so I saw my dad in the spotlight.

“It was very good fun, not many guys get to go on tour with their dad.

“My dad taught me to appreciate what you are given, you’re not always going to get a chance.”

Boyzone actor Keith Duffy has finished cycle in aid of Autism Ireland

Boyzone crooner and 'Coronation Street' actor Keith Duffy has finished aid of Autism Ireland a 600km cycle.

The cycle was taken top position of tough challenges which the 32 year old will partake in this year to raise funds for the autism charity.

Speaking to The Star, he said: "I had no concept how difficult Geneva to Monte Carlo was going to be.

"To be honest, I cried my eyes out. It was a really hard struggle."

Taking to his Twitter page, Duffy tweeted: "HowYaBuddies, It's all over guys! Thank god I'm home in my own bed after 600 k from Geneva to Monte Carlo."

Boyzone's Mikey Graham has been left "shaken" after confronting an intruder

Boyzone star Mikey Graham has brought to his house after an intruder was "shaken" left.

The Irish singer, 38, his family Saturday morning when a burglar during the early hours of the defense was forced to break.

Fortunately, neither Mikey nor his family was harmed.

Speaking to The Sun, Graham said: "It was terrifying but we are OK. Police are investigating. We are still very shaken by it all but the police are dealing with it now."

Mikey was at home with his wife Karen Corradi and daughter Sienna when the incident happened.

A friend of the singer added: "Mikey is a real family man and spends all his spare time with Karen and his two daughters. This would have really shaken him up."

Irish police said that "a number of people" were being asked.

Boyzone paid a tribute to Stephen Gately

Boyzone band paid a touching tribute to Stephen Gately as they brought their 'Brother' tour to at 02 Arena London.

The band members Ronan Keating, Shane Lynch, Mikey Graham and Keith Duffy are admitted they are unsure if they take as a four piece after Stephen on this holiday home in Majorca in 2009, died of natural causes but in the end 'Brother' to make an album and tour Respect of their friends were going to be decided.

Speaking on stage, Ronan told the crowd: "12 months ago we didn't know what the future held for us, we didn't know if we could tour as a four piece. We made this album under unbelievable duress, we laughed, we cried.

I hope you're ok Steo and I hope you're enjoying the music."

Mikey added: "I try not to think too hard about the loss, He's never forgotten. If I could say something about him it's that it's difficult without you."

After then the group performed 'Gave It All Away' as a montage of Stephen performed on big screens behind them.

In the 'Brother' album which songs include who related these songs are 'Til The Sun Goes Down' and 'Ruby' with old favourites 'Picture Of You', 'You Needed Me', 'Love Me For A Reason', ' When The Going Gets Tough' and their first UK number one 'Words'.

As they philosophy in green velvet suits for the encore fans were treated to 'Baby Can I Hold You' before they ended the show with Ronan's solo single 'Life Is A Roller Coaster'.
