“I watched him on Coronation Street. Seeing him doing it made me realise that acting was what I wanted to do.

“When I found out I was in Hollyoaks dad took me to the Soap Awards with him so I could meet some of the cast.

“He brought me so I could be introduced to Emmett Scanlan so that was good.”

Jay got the job after an acting agent watched him lead the cast in a school play.

He said: “I auditioned for Peter Pan a couple of years ago and I was spotted.

“I didn’t go to acting school. I’d only done a few small school productions, but I watched my dad on TV.

“I’ve been on a lot of Boyzone tours so I saw my dad in the spotlight.

“It was very good fun, not many guys get to go on tour with their dad.

“My dad taught me to appreciate what you are given, you’re not always going to get a chance.”

Boyzone manager Louis Walsh claims that he is rejected by the cast

Irish boy band Boyzone manager Louis Walsh claims that he is rejected by the cast.

The X Factor judge Walsh said the band had split, however, has denied rumors about four pieces, according to the report.

Speaking to The Star, Keith Duffy said: "Nothing has happened that I know of."

Later, the Corrie actor took to Twitter saying: "The 'Brother' album and tour was an amazing and heartbreaking experience. Thank you all so much for being there!"

He continued: "Boyzone made that mistake (splitting up) before- unless you hear from us directly don't mind what you read, see ya in August for the summer shows."

Shane Lynch also commented on the story saying: "If Louis has said he's no longer anything to do with us lads.that's the first I heard of it."

"From one tour to the next sometimes we see Louis and sometimes you don't. He doesn't need to hold our hand."

Boyzone actor Keith Duffy has finished cycle in aid of Autism Ireland

Boyzone crooner and 'Coronation Street' actor Keith Duffy has finished aid of Autism Ireland a 600km cycle.

The cycle was taken top position of tough challenges which the 32 year old will partake in this year to raise funds for the autism charity.

The cycle soaring temperatures have star from Geneva to Monte Carlo.

Speaking to The Star, he said: "I had no concept how difficult Geneva to Monte Carlo was going to be.

"To be honest, I cried my eyes out. It was a really hard struggle."

Taking to his Twitter page, Duffy tweeted: "HowYaBuddies, It's all over guys! Thank god I'm home in my own bed after 600 k from Geneva to Monte Carlo."

Boyzone's Mikey Graham has been left "shaken" after confronting an intruder

Boyzone star Mikey Graham has brought to his house after an intruder was "shaken" left.

The Irish singer, 38, his family Saturday morning when a burglar during the early hours of the defense was forced to break.

Fortunately, neither Mikey nor his family was harmed.

Speaking to The Sun, Graham said: "It was terrifying but we are OK. Police are investigating. We are still very shaken by it all but the police are dealing with it now."

Mikey was at home with his wife Karen Corradi and daughter Sienna when the incident happened.

A friend of the singer added: "Mikey is a real family man and spends all his spare time with Karen and his two daughters. This would have really shaken him up."

Irish police said that "a number of people" were being asked.

Boyzone working a new album to release at the end of this year

Boyzone band are working a new album, which will be release at the end of this year, according to the singer Ronan Keating.

The band previously album LP "Brother" - which was their late bandmate was dedicated to Stephen Gateley.

Gately was died in October 2009 on natural causes - in March 2010, but is now being positive reception received on their recent tour after being surprised by the follow-up record want to start.

Boyzone has established a scholarship for Gately Stephen

Irish pop stars Boyzone has established a scholarship in his late bandmate Gately Stephen memory in a college in Dublin.

The singer, 33, in 2009 to house his Majorca, Spain in collaboration with partner Andrew Cowles was found.

Boyzone perform at Newmarket Nights 2011

Boyzone members Ronan Keating, Shane Lynch, Keith Duffy and Mikey Graham will serenade pop hit with lovers Suffolk such as “Baby, can I hold you’ and ‘No Matter What’, finaly presented on August 5.

Stephen Wallis, Newmarket Racecourses managing director, said he was “delighted” to welcome back the boyband, which last performed at the venue in 2009.

He said: “Ronan Keating has performed 3 times here as a solo artist and Boyzone have performed twice, each time, ticket sales have been fantastic.

“It’s clear to say that Boyzone are a firm favourite with our Newmarket Nights audience and therefore its very fitting they are part of the 25th anniversary line-up.”

Meanwhile, Suffolk Boyzone fan chatter has been getting after the date of the summer before tweeting today about the incident was declared with dozens of excited about.

Tickets cost £21 for the garden enclosure, £37 for the grandstand and paddock and £37 for the premier enclosure.

Boyzone paid a tribute to Stephen Gately

Boyzone band paid a touching tribute to Stephen Gately as they brought their 'Brother' tour to at 02 Arena London.

The band members Ronan Keating, Shane Lynch, Mikey Graham and Keith Duffy are admitted they are unsure if they take as a four piece after Stephen on this holiday home in Majorca in 2009, died of natural causes but in the end 'Brother' to make an album and tour Respect of their friends were going to be decided.

Speaking on stage, Ronan told the crowd: "12 months ago we didn't know what the future held for us, we didn't know if we could tour as a four piece. We made this album under unbelievable duress, we laughed, we cried.

I hope you're ok Steo and I hope you're enjoying the music."

Mikey added: "I try not to think too hard about the loss, He's never forgotten. If I could say something about him it's that it's difficult without you."

After then the group performed 'Gave It All Away' as a montage of Stephen performed on big screens behind them.

In the 'Brother' album which songs include who related these songs are 'Til The Sun Goes Down' and 'Ruby' with old favourites 'Picture Of You', 'You Needed Me', 'Love Me For A Reason', ' When The Going Gets Tough' and their first UK number one 'Words'.

As they philosophy in green velvet suits for the encore fans were treated to 'Baby Can I Hold You' before they ended the show with Ronan's solo single 'Life Is A Roller Coaster'.

Boyzone Play in Aberdeen from 10 to 11 March 2011

Boyzone - The Brother Tour sees the band playing a figure of cities crossways the UK and Ireland and the boys will be title to Aberdeen for just two nights on 10th and 11th March 2011. Fans will be luxuried to an variety of songs from their latest number one album also titled Brother.

Among the songs will be hits such as 'Love Is A Hurricane' and the top ten favourite 'Give It All Away'. As well as the newer songs fans can also anticipate to hear music from their earlier career including such classics as 'Love Me For A Reason', 'Picture of You' and 'No Matter What'.

Ronan Keating to gig at Laureus Awards


Ronan Keating former Boyzone band member is set to perform at at the Emirates Palace on Monday night in Abu Dhabi, it was announced today.

Since going solo in 2000,the singer has successfully sold 20 million records.

The guest list for the Laureus World Sports Awards is a "who’s who" of professional sports stars of past and present.

The famous appearance on the gig are Sir Bobby Charlton, the captain of England’s 1966 World Cup winning team, and Rafael Nadal, the current world tennis number one.

Beside the above two,Formula One champion Sebastian Vettel, the Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao, the LA Lakers' Kobe Bryant and the Barcelona footballers Andres Iniesta and Lionel Messi will also give their presence.

The double Oscar-winner Kevin Spacey will host the ceremony.

Proceeds from the awards benefit the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation, which supports almost 80 community sports projects around the world.

Collin Never Wanted To Be In Boyzone


According from sources it was heard that Collin seeking for place in Boyzone band but he didn’t really want it to be in the band.

"I swear I never wanted to actually be in Boyzone, I was bored," he added. "I was never good at studying. Just didn't don't how to apply myself. So I went along [to an audition].”

At The Dubai International Film Festival recently,he revealed the truth behind it.At the festival the crowd hounded Farrell into revealing more of this bizarre story.

“Louis actually saw me in a club in Ireland. I was wearing leather trousers and a rubber t-shirt and he asked me there and then to be in the band.”

“After two renditions of Careless Whisper it was all over. I've really never looked back. If I was in Boyzone I couldn't have been an actor. Take your pick."

Duffy Worried About Boyzone Tour Without Gately


Irish singer KEITH DUFFY feels that during BOYZONE's upcoming tour he will be lonely because his late bandmate STEPHEN GATELY always gave him a extra energy during live shows.

His 33 year old was found dead at the home he shared with his partner Andrew Cowles in Majorca, Spain.

Gately's dead was a big shock for bandmates and it's hard for them to recover from it but they're gearing up to head out on the road for their first tour as a four-piece next month (Feb11).

Duffy expressed that band is worried about how they'll cope without their pal.

He tells Britain's The People, "Now Stephen's gone I'm not sure how I feel about getting back on stage. It's the first time we'll perform without him and I'm quite concerned about how it's going to be.

"I can't imagine for one minute it's going to be easy. It'll be tough but we'll give it our best shot. We just have to be honest with ourselves. If it's not working, it's not working.

"Stephen was always on the same side of the stage as me and we had a lot of banter during the performance so I think I'll probably feel a bit lonely. He carried me and I carried him. You understand each other without saying anything and that's an awful lot to lose."

Boyzone Tickets and tour dates for 2011

Boyzone Tickets are now out for 2011 as they large number of UK tour dates.


The band have return as part of the renaissance of the coming back British boy bands. There will be absolute correct to be parallels drawn to other boy bands who have currently made returns and Ronan Keating give hints that he wanted to beat Take That’s success.
